COMING SOON! Lights On Afterschool celebrates the remarkable work being done by students who attend after school programs. In Florida, according to America After 3PM data release by the Afterschool Alliance in 2009, 20 percent of school age children are in afterschool programs, while
25 percent are unsupervised in the afternoons. According to the survey, the parents of 36 percent of children in the state of Florida who are not enrolled in an afterschool program would enroll their child in one, if a program were available to them.
